Description
Bancha is a particularly low-caffeine green tea made from older leaves. Its taste is mild and floral , with notes of cereal and popcorn combined with a slight sweetness. It comes from the renowned and largest tea-growing region in Japan, Shizuoka. The coarser leaves require a longer brewing time than Mizudashi . When brewed warm, it has a shorter brewing time because higher temperatures are used than usual. It is packaged in practical pyramid tea bags and is particularly easy to prepare.
